Systemic therapy will offer you a new lens from which to explore, view and reflect on your difficulties. Your therapy sessions will be a democratic and collaborative experience which will take place in the form of talking sessions.
I will work to create a safe, non-judgemental and confidential space. Sessions will support you to make sense of self, your personal relationships and your surrounding world. Time will be taken to listen to your difficulties and explore your feelings and emotions. Anxieties can be unpicked and ideas can be explored addressing the cause not just the symptoms of your problem. Often new perspectives are uncovered that enable you to have a more in-depth understanding of your difficulties. This new understanding can give you confidence and strength to make positive changes that will remove uncertainty enabling you to create a calmer and more satisfied life.
As a systemic therapist, I hold in mind that if one person within a family or in a relationship is having difficulties then this may impact on everyone around them and I will have sensitive curiosity about this.
